Gather up your closest friends and family because this weekend is gearing up to be a good one in Maryland. From the annual Annapolis Crab Feast to the St. Mary’s College of Maryland Governor’s Cup Yacht Race, there’s something for everyone!

Annapolis Crab Feast

Where? 550 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis

The Rotary Club of Annapolis is excited to present the Annapolis Crab Feast this Saturday! Join in on the delicious festivities at the 80th annual feast from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. This is an all-you-can-eat opportunity to dig into your favorite seafood! There will also be a bake sale to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings. Discounted online ticket sales close at midnight on Thursday, so grab yours while they’re available! Same-day tickets will be on sale for $40 for children and $105 for adults. You can also snag five raffle tickets for just $20, with prizes ranging from a bushel of crabs to the $1,000 grand prize.

Caribbean TrioFest 2025: Wine, Beer & Food Festival

Where? 8440 Fairground Road, La Plata
When? August 2nd

Tickets are on sale now for the Caribbean TrioFest this Saturday! Head over to the Charles County Fairgrounds and Event Center in La Plata for a raging good time. The fun kicks off at 11:00 AM and wraps up at 8:00 PM, giving you all day to hang out, jam out to non-stop music, and dive into delicious eats. Experience the flavors, rhythm, and spirit of the Caribbean culture with live music and entertainment from a stacked lineup! There will be complimentary beer and wine tasting, as well as a marketplace with local vendors and artisans. Parking is free and attendees are permitted to bring tents sized 10×10 or smaller with them for free. Children ages 12 and under don’t require an admission fee, so bring the family out!

54th Annual Old-Fashioned Corn Roast Festival

Where? 3311 Littlestown Pike, Westminster
When? August 2nd

The 54th Annual Old-Fashioned Corn Roast Festival has been around for over five decades for a reason! This delicious gathering is serving up fried chicken, applesauce, sliced tomatoes, rolls, and all of the roasted corn you can eat! Wash it all down with iced tea or lemonade and enjoy the other attractions at the festival, such as musical entertainment by the Martin Brothers, a gift shop, the blacksmith shop, and tours of the historic House and Mill (additional fee)! Tickets to the corn roast are priced at $20 for adults and $10 for ages 12 and under for a smaller children’s portion. Parking is free. The festival is scheduled from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so stick around all afternoon or just swing by for a lunch that you won’t walk away hungry from!

St. Mary’s College of Maryland Governor’s Cup Yacht Race

Where? 47645 College Drive, St. Mary’s City
When? August 2nd & 3rd

Soak up the shoreside fun at the Chesapeake Bay’s oldest and longest-running overnight sailboat race. The SMCM Governor’s Cup is an exciting community staple! Boats will arrive throughout Saturday, and attendees can enjoy live music and waterfront entertainment, as well as food trucks hailing from across Southern Maryland. Races range from four courses, including the classic, the 70-mile Annapolis leg, the Potomac Leg, and the Solomons Island Leg. Many alumni come out to take advantage of the last opportunity to stay overnight on campus each summer! Housing options range from Townhouse on the Greens and the Queen Anne Residence Hall, both of which are situated near the waterfront! There will be breakfast in the Parish Hall on Saturday morning, an All Day Bar from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and food trucks throughout the afternoon and evening, all of which are available for an additional fee.

Indonesia Culinary Day

Where? Carroll Creek Linear Park, Frederick
When? August 2nd & 3rd

The Asian American Center of Frederick and the Indonesian Education & Cultural Network are hosting the Indonesia Culinary Day this Saturday at Carroll Creek Park. This will be a free event featuring delicious Indonesian food, exciting cultural performances, and awesome activities for the whole family to enjoy. Dive into traditional dishes such as nasi goreng, rendang, and sate at the food bazaar or explore the marketplace and shop for arts and crafts. Traditional dances and musical performances will delight attendees, and who knows, you may even be tempted to dance yourself! No tickets are required for this event and the fun will be hosted from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Frederick Plant & Seed Swap

This Sunday, join Rockwell Brewery Riverside for the Frederick Plant and Seed Swap! This event is recurring on the first Sunday of the month and provides a prime opportunity to sip on delicious craft beer while you swap plants, seeds, and even advice! The swap will take place between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Everyone is welcome. Whether you’re interested in swapping or browsing, the Plant & Seed Swap is fun for all. Rockwell Brewery is one of the largest brewery taprooms in Frederick, providing a hip, upscale, and welcoming environment for all those looking to sit back, relax, and enjoy good vibes with great beer.

First Sunday Arts Festival

Where? 53 West Street, Annapolis

On the first Sunday of the month, Annapolis is home to one of the coolest art festivals around! West Street and Calvert Street will close down for a family-friendly gathering that boasts over 150 vendors, along with food trucks, live music, and cafe dining across eight restaurants. Swing by anytime between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM to partake in the fun, whether you want to grab a bite to eat or shop until you drop. The festival is presented by the Inner West Street Association and admission is always free! This Sunday’s musical lineup will feature D’Vibe and Conga from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM in Stan and Joe’s Lot, followed by the Johnson Male Chorus and the Spice Band. In People’s Park, jam out with Garret Park Music and P.J. & Neal or listen to Michael Kocher at Weisman Park.

Shark Bites & Brews

Shark Bites & Brews is back with all-new shark-themed fun, so don your best blues and grays and get ready to challenge yourself on the mechanical shark. There will be live pop and rock music from the 7 Deadlies Band on the Floating Stage and buckets of ice-cold Pacifico beer sold at Cantina Bambina. If you think you have what it takes to devour an entire plate of shark-themed doughnuts, sign up for the doughnut eating contest! Shark Bites & Brews is free to attend and pups are welcome! Washington Spirit vs. Portland Thorns FC

The Washington Spirit is an American professional soccer team based out of the capital city. The team competes as part of the National Women’s Soccer League and plays its home games at Audi Field. This Sunday, catch the Washington Spirit as they face off against the Portland Thorns FC at 11:30 AM. Sesame Street the Musical

If your kiddo loves all things Sesame Street, then snag tickets to see the gang live at the Terrace Theatre! The musical will feature all of the favorites, including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby and more. The performance will showcase iconic songs and stories onstage for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch everybody’s favorite Muppets from Sesame Street in an intimate theatrical setting. The musical will be held at The Kennedy Theatre through the end of August. The approximate runtime is 70 minutes, which is typically ideal for audience members ages 2 and up! Showtimes range from 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, and 3:30 PM, depending on the day. This Friday’s show will be open captioned.

Friendship Firehouse Festival

The annual Friendship Firehouse Festival is held on the first Saturday in August! The family-friendly event features an array of antique fire apparatus, craft booths, and displays by Alexandria merchants, as well as live music! The festival is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Friendship Firehouse Museum. Join the fun on the 100 block of South Alfred Street to celebrate the Fire Company’s 251st year. Children will receive free toy Friendship firefighting helmets to commemorate the event. There will also be water play and touchable artifact activities to encourage a hands-on experience for all!

Tiny Music Fest on Main

Where? 10409 Main Street, Fairfax

Love live music? The Tiny Music Fest on Main this Sunday invites you to jam out at this unique outdoor concert series in Old Town Fairfax. On the first Sunday of the month through September, enjoy free live music from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM while you dig into pizza and sip on refreshingly cold beer. There will be first-come, first-served seating. Attendees are permitted to bring their own chairs as well. The talented acoustic lineup is welcoming the Short Hill Mountain Boys to the mix this Sunday. The show is made possible through a collaboration between The Shoppes at Main, Mobius Records, High Side, and Old Dominion Pizza with support from the Old Town Fairfax Business Association. Mark your calendars for September 7th to catch the final installment of this summer concert series, with a performance by The Beanstalk Library!
