SPRUNG! Comedy Festival 2025

SPRUNG! is Silver Spring’s annual comedy festival that attracts over a thousand comedy fans to enjoy incredible shows across four nights at the Black Box Theatre. This year’s collection includes The Originals: All Native Comedy Night on Friday at 5:00 PM, Law & Order Comedy on Friday at 9:00 PM, and various workshops on Saturday afternoon if you’re looking to improve your own skills! Saturday’s final shows include Science Comedy Night at 5:00 PM, Comedy as a Second Language at 7:00 PM, and Joke Sistas at 9:00 PM! Annapolis Film Festival

This year marks the 13th annual Annapolis Film Festival, which is an impressive accomplishment in and of itself! For over a decade now, the festival has left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of all participants. Not only does the festival aim to showcase cinema, but it also strives to be a catalyst for change and a mirror of everyone’s shared humanity. In conjunction with the films showing on the screen, the Annapolis Film Festival is also about the conversations that take place in the lobby and the friendships that are made along the way. Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival

Where? 2200 York Road, Timonium

The 17th Annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival is coming to the Maryland State Fairgrounds this Friday and Saturday. Friday kicks the fun off from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Saturday opens early at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM for VIP admission only, before general admission tickets are permitted from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. This is the biggest BBQ throw-down in the region, so you won’t want to miss out on the smoked meats feast. To wash all that good food down, sample beers from 60+ options and over 40 bourbons! General admission is priced at $45 and includes a souvenir tasting glass, unlimited sampling of beer and bourbon, and access to all live entertainment. Designated driver tickets are sold onsite for $25 if you want to skip the booze and stick to the BBQ!

Holi 2025

Holi 2025 is coming to McKeldin Mall this Saturday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Enjoy this annual colorful celebration, complete with dancing and fun for all ages. Music will be provided by ShiVish Entertainment and there will be tasty samosas on deck, as well as masala fries from Krazi Kebob! Throw back a refreshing mango lassi and celebrate the joy that this Hindu tradition represents with plenty of colors, games, and good memories. Everyone is welcome to partake in the event! General admission tickets are on sale for $8.14, which includes a small service fee.

Water Lantern Festival

The Water Lantern Festival is part of the Cherry Blossom Season programming. This Saturday evening, enjoy fun, happiness, hope, and beautiful memories that you can cherish for a lifetime. This family-friendly event kicks off at 4:30 PM and features food trucks, music, and a design-your-own lantern activity. Lanterns will launch from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Spirit Park in Oxon Hill. This is a special event where the floodplain comes alive with the breathtaking carpet of stunning blue blooms, creating perfect photo opportunities with the family. Onsite vendors may not be able to accept credit due to limited signal, so bring cash for food, crafts, and other treats! Take a stroll on the Bluebell Trail, which is a 2-mile, one-way circuit that optimizes the beauty of the flowers. The Bluebell Festival is a family-friendly event, though no pets are allowed! Due to the event’s popularity, complimentary timed entry tickets are required. Only one ticket is needed per car. Depending on the recent weather, attendees may want to dress for muddy conditions.

National Cherry Blossom Festival at the Lab!
