Spice up your weekend calendar with events across Maryland, such as Wellness Day at Manor Hill or the monthly Frederick Plant & Seed Swap. Kick off the first Sunday in June with the Arts Festival in Annapolis or shop the Market at the Mill with good food and local vendors.

Wellness Day at Manor Hill

Take advantage of Wellness Day at Manor Hill this weekend in Ellicott City. The program will run from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM, featuring an array of family-friendly fun at the farm. Guests will learn all about eating well, exercising, and making healthy choices for both body and mind. This is the first-ever event of its kind at the farm, so come on out and show your support! The majority of the day’s activities and demos will wrap up by 4:00 PM, so arrive early for the most fun. There will also be yoga classes led by Breakaway Yoga Studies at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Frederick Plant & Seed Swap

Rockwell Brewery Riverside is hosting a Plant and Seed Swap on the first Sunday of the month, so celebrate June while you swap new plants, seeds, stories, and even advice! Sip on a refreshing craft beer and participate in activities for the chance to win prizes. This event is free to attend and will run from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Everyone is welcome, so whether you’re coming to swap or you just want to browse, it’s sure to be a good time for all.

First Sunday Arts Festival

Where? West Street, Annapolis
When? June 1st

The First Sunday Arts Festival is sponsored by the Inner West Street Association. From May through November, this festival attracts thousands of visitors to shop over 100 vendors and enjoy live entertainment in downtown historic Annapolis along the beautiful West Street. On Sunday, the performance lineup features Spirit of Jazz with Geno Marriott, The Johnson Male Chorus, and Fast Eddie and the Slowpokes on Stan and Joe’s Lot and Naptown Signs and Plays, Aaron Hawkins and Michael Kocher in People’s Park. The festival is scheduled from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and there will be café dining options available.

Pickleball for Paws Fundraiser

Where? 1726 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville
When? June 1st

This Sunday, don’t miss out on the most exciting pickleball match in the area! The Pickleball for Paws Fundraiser will feature both competitive and non-competitive open play from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There will be instructor-led drills for all levels, as well as challenge courts and a beat-the-pro competition for $10. Prizes will be awarded to winners and there will be complimentary B12 shots sponsored by ExpressCare. The fundraiser is being presented by the Baltimore Humane Society at the Bounce Pickleball Club. Registrants can pick up a t-shirt with their ticket purchase. Paddles will be available to borrow.

Holi Color Run/Walk

Where? 10431 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia
When? June 1st

Participate in the 1 mile Holi Color Run/Walk this Sunday at Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods. Kick off the Holi celebration with an untimed fun run or walk that takes you through clouds of beautiful, bright powder. Participants can enjoy throwing the colorful powder on each other as they dance and celebrate the afternoon away. After your run/walk, head to the Chrysalis Stage to catch free community performances and a dance party. Powder will be available onsite. Participants should arrive in clothing that they don’t mind getting stained. Powder generally washes out of clothing but it’s better to be safe than sorry!

Market at the Mill

Where? 3300 Clipper Mill Road, Baltimore
When? June 1st

Market at the Mill is being presented by True Chesapeake and Greater Goods. Get ready for a full day of over 50 local makers, music, and plenty of delicious food. Vendors will be selling a variety of goods, including art, ceramics, clothing, jewelry, body care, and much more. There will be a pop-up bar, as well as True Chesapeake oysters, Glizzy’s dogs, Tia’s Italian ice, Kitsch coffee, and more goodies. The market will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Whether you’re in the mood to shop until you drop or you just want to enjoy a leisurely Sunday afternoon spent sipping, snacking, and enjoying some tunes, Market at the Mill is the place to be!

Finding Nemo Jr @ Children’s Theatre of Annapolis

The Children’s Theatre of Annapolis is excited to present Finding Nemo Jr to DMV audiences! The show will run through June 1st, so this is your final weekend to catch the performance. This musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie features all-new music by the award-winning songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. Purchase a ticket for the May 31st show at 4:00 PM for the exciting opportunity to interact with new friends from the Annapolis Maritime Museum. Guests will be able to see and touch some of the animals that call the oyster reef home, such as oysters, shrimp, fish, and mud crabs!

Jay Jurden is coming to the DC Improv Comedy Club this Thursday through Sunday. There will be two shows on both Friday and Saturday, so snag your tickets now. Jurden enjoyed a sold-out DC Improv debut in 2024 and is returning to the stage for a full headlining weekend. After his work as a staff writer for Apple TV+’s Emmy-nominated show “The Problem with Jon Stewart,” Jurden has also performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon a few times and been on HBO’s High Maintenance. There is a two-item minimum in place per customer at the venue, which can be met with any combination of food items or beverages.

Capital Cup Sports Festival

The Capital Cup Sports Festival is kicking off this Friday! The capital city boasts one of the most extensive local networks of LGBTQ+ sports teams and leagues in the area. The public is invited to cheer on the inaugural Capital Cup Sports Festival, which will be held during WorldPride DC 2025. The festival will take place across multiple venues and will feature an array of sports, including basketball, bocce, corn hole, climbing, water polo, darts, dodgeball, kickball, golf, pickleball, soccer, rugby 7’s, and much more! Shakira: Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour

Global superstar Shakira is bringing her world tour to Nationals Park this Saturday as part of WorldPride DC’s 2025 Welcome Concert. Shakira is known for her dynamic and high-energy performances and worldwide audiences can sing along to her legendary tracks. The show is scheduled for 7:30 PM, with gates opening at 5:30 PM. This is a rain-or-shine event, so keep an eye on the forecast! Tickets are starting in the $180s, with scattered options available throughout the venue. Bring a friend and jam out to tunes such as “Hips Don’t Lie,” “Waka Waka,” “Whenever, Wherever,” and many more. 38th Annual Festival Argentino

The 38th Annual Festival Argentino is scheduled for this Saturday. The annual fest celebrates the culture of Argentina and Latin America through music, food, exhibitors, and cultural activities. This is an all-ages event and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 3:30 PM for exhibitors and food vendors and the show kicks off at 5:50 PM at the Kenmore Theater. The 38th Spectacular Integral show will include tango, dances, folklore, and rock and pop tunes from top artists from Argentina and the USA. The lineup includes names such as Daniel Bouchet, Los Alonsitos, Lele Lovato, and many more. General admission is priced at $25 in advance, which includes a raffle and free parking on Saturday.

Fil-Am Spring Fest 2025

Where? 11750 Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax

Celebrate culture and community at this Saturday’s Fil-Am Spring Fest from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Dive into all things Filipino-American heritage this weekend, such as live performances, authentic food, unique shopping, and a small business showcase. There will be 80+ vendors onsite, as well as local talent and community partners. The event also supports programs that alleviate poverty, promote hunger prevention, and fund other charitable initiatives. The fest will be held at the Fair Oaks Mall in front of Macy’s Furniture. Admission is free to this family-friendly cultural festival.

Arlington Pride Festival

World Pride 2025 is coming to the DMV region, with events in DC and across Northern Virginia. Arlington Pride is returning for a 4th year to join in on the fun this weekend, with an event at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport. Saturday’s free festival event will showcase local talent, delicious food, and vibrant entertainment. Embrace the spirit of pride with friends, family, and members of the community and their allies this weekend at the Annual Arlington Pride Drag Brunch from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and a speed dating event from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Brunch will be headlined by Aja from RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Bull Run Wine Festival

The Winery at Bull Run is the closest winery to DC, making it a popular attraction for area wine aficionados! The Bull Run Wine Festival will be held for the first time ever this Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with patrons getting the opportunity to enjoy wine tastings from 15 unique wineries from across Virginia, as well as access to food trucks, live music, and a vendor market. There will be performances each day, with names such as All Jammed Up and The Excellent Drivers. The vendor lineup includes businesses like Blue Ridge Pickle Company, Branch and Vine, Sage by Sages, Rusty Bus, Not Your Grandma’s Crafts, and many more. Tickets are on sale for $45 per person here, which includes wine and beer samples. Children under the age of one are free and there will be a designated family area for groups with guests under 21 years old in their party.
