Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour

The Lifetimes Tour is Katy Perry’s fifth tour and is in support of her seventh studio album, 143. Catch the pop sensation on her extensive run in the United States, which stops by the CFG Bank Arena this Friday. Perry is expected to perform hits from her impressive catalogue, including fan favorites like Firework, California Gurls, Teenage Dream, Roar, and more. Doors to Baltimore’s show open at 6:00 PM, with the concert kicking off an hour later.

Summer Evening Guided Hike

Want to explore the great outdoors this weekend? Join the American Chestnut Land Trust (ACLT) for a Summer Evening Guided Hike this Saturday, starting at 7:00 PM. The excursion will take approximately 2.5 hours, and the group will meet at the North Trailhead Parking Lot. Plan to arrive by 6:45 PM. Organizers also request that hikers bring a headlight or a flashlight, just in case! Other tips to make your hike as enjoyable as possible include close-toe shoes and water. Leave Fido at home for this hike, as well. Registration for the guided hike requires a full name and contact information.

Lucky Strike Timonium Launch Party

Where? 2165 York Road, Timonium
When? August 16th & 17th

Love bowling and arcade games? If you answered yes, then the Launch Party this Saturday for Lucky Strike in Timonium invites you to enjoy the festivities! From 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, join fellow bowling enthusiasts and good-time-loving folks for a family-friendly party. Attendees can enjoy one free game per guest, a $10 arcade card on the house, as well as complimentary snacks (while supplies last). There will also be grown-up sips available for purchase at the full bar. This is a free event, but you’ll want to RSVP ahead of time. Bowling will be based on lane availability. Sunflower Showcase

Clark’s Elioak Farm is excited to invite you out to enjoy the stunning sunflowers in bloom! Wander through the patch and snap some great photos to send out to friends and family. If you’re feeling snack-ish, make sure to grab a treat from Kettle Krazed! No visit to the farm would be complete without saying hello to the animals at the petting zoo. Families are welcome to bring lunch and enjoy a picnic under the trees. Want to do some shopping? You can do that too at the Castle Store! There’s something for everyone at Clark’s Elioak Farm, so be sure to swing by this weekend while sunflowers are showcasing their beautiful colors!

Summer Concert Series: Scott Ambush Group

Where? 121 North Bentz Street, Frederick
When? August 17th

Join the Scott Ambush Group with special guest Eric Byrd this Sunday at the Summer Concert Series in Frederick. Hailing from Frederick County, Scott Ambush has been jamming on the electric bass since a young age. Ambush has played countless gigs throughout the region, and as a member of contemporary jazz super group, Spyro Gyra, he has also garnered five Grammy nominations! The show is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the Baker Park Bandshell. ASL interpreters will be onsite for the performance. There will be one more performance this summer as part of the series, so mark your calendar for August 24th to catch Izis La Enfermera de la Salsa!

2025 BMW Championship

Where? 2910 Blendon Road, Owings Mills

The 2025 BMW Championship will be held from August 12th through the 17th at the Caves Valley Golf Club. The top 50 players in the world will be competing in this decisive PGA Tour FedEx Cup playoff tournament, so snag a spectator spot and watch your favorite players! All BMW Championship venues are unreserved general admission. Grounds tickets permit entry to the tournament grounds on the day of your choice, with public seating, restrooms, and concessions available throughout the course. Upgrade your experience at The Barn, which is situated along the 18th fairway. All patrons with The Barn tickets will have access to unlimited beverages, as well as private bathrooms and exclusive views.

Hit the ground running this weekend in the capital city, with the Nationals playing a four-game series against the Phillies, as well as the Dear Summer Festival and the family-friendly Ms. Niki concert!

Washington Nationals vs. Philadelphia Phillies

Get ready to cheer extra loud for the Washington Nationals this Thursday through Sunday as they take on the Philadelphia Phillies four days in a row. Thursday and Friday’s games are scheduled for 6:45 PM, Saturday’s at 4:05 PM, and Sunday’s at 11:35 AM. This weekend’s homestand will also feature an exciting promotional schedule, including Ladies Night on Thursday and a postgame concert on Friday by Sam Hunt! Saturday will have a Jacob Young bobblehead giveaway to the first 10,000 fans in attendance, as well as a special “Cat-urday” package deal that includes a co-branded shirt and a donation to the Humane Rescue Alliance. Wrap things up on Sunday with Filipino Heritage Day, with special ticket holders receiving an exclusive jacket.

She’s a member of the Grammy-nominated 1 Tribe Collective and has been described as a new age cross between Mary Poppins and Ms. Frizzle. Ms. Niki is skilled at entertaining audiences of all ages and brings her upbeat original songs and classics with a twist that you’ve never heard before. Join the fun this Friday and grab your tickets now! Children’s tickets are priced at $14 and adult tickets at $7. You can also snag a Family Funday Concert Summer Pass for $50! Friday’s concert is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Dear Summer Festival

The Dear Summer Festival series represents the vibrant intersection of culture, cuisine, and entertainment. Come together with fellow community members from the capital city and from across the DMV region to celebrate fellowship and genuine connection. From amazing food, people, and live performances all under one roof, this is an event you won’t want to miss! Formerly known as the Dear Summer BBQ, the event has been rebranded while still staying true to its roots. The day-to-night outdoor experience is making its way to NYC, Houston, Atlanta, and beyond to showcase the best DJs and awesome local vendors. DC’s festival will be held at the Gateway Pavilion from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Saturday.

Leesburg Festival of Crafts & Kites

If you’re looking for a unique way to get outside and enjoy the sunshine this weekend, the Leesburg Festival of Kites and Crafts will be held at Ida Lee Park this Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Save the date for one of this weekend’s most exciting family-friendly events. Kiddos of all ages will love watching the colorful kites soar through the sky. The day will be jam-packed with kite flying, unique handmade crafts, food vendors, live music, and a range of family-friendly fun and games. Admission is free. Families are encouraged to bring kites or grab one from the festival. The food vendor lineup this year includes California Taco, Four Guys, True Honey Teas, Crepes D’Alsace, 4M Vending, and many more.

2nd Annual Port to Port Beer Festival

Where? 3950 Wheeler Avenue, Alexandria
When? August 16th

Port City Brewing Company invites you out to the Port to Port Beer Festival this Saturday. Breweries from cities near and far will be joining together to showcase their finest brews. If you’re interested in trying unique flavors from all over the world, you can do it all in one spot! Participating breweries at this year’s festival include DC Brau, Southern Revere Cellars, Solace Brewing Company, Union Craft Brewing, Liquid Intrusion, Jackie O’s Brewing Company and many more. Tickets are priced at $60 for general admission, which includes unlimited pours while supplies last, as well as music by DJ Sprinkles. Your ticket will also include a commemorative 5-ounce tasting glass and a variety of yard games to keep the vibes high. The festival is scheduled from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with VIP ticket holders receiving early access at 11:00 AM. Attendees must be 21 and up to participate. 

Summer Renaissance Festival

Where? 7581 Colshire Drive, Tysons
When? August 16th

Shipgarten is excited to present a Summer Renaissance Festival this Saturday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM! Enjoy a wide variety of drinks and food while you engage in exciting festival events. Don’t forget to snag some photos at the photo booth to commemorate your weekend! Dog owners are welcome to bring the pups along, whether on-leash or in the off-leash dog park. Treats available include pup cups and Kongs filled with peanut butter. The festival schedule kicks off at 1:30 PM with arrow shooting, followed by jousting at 2:00 PM and axe throwing from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Think you have what it takes to win stein hoisting? Participate in the challenge at 4:30 PM! Additional events and activities include a costume contest, live music, and a UFC 319 watch party at 8:00 PM.

Arlington County Fair

Where? 3501 2nd Street South, Arlington
When? Through August 17th

The Arlington County Fair is fun for families of all ages. Hosted at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center, tickets to the 2025 Fair are on sale now here. Save $5 through August 13th at 5:00 PM! Each ride takes approximately 3-6 tickets, so make sure you have plenty for endless summer fun. Admission to the fair is free, and all activities found on the Outdoor Stage and Kids’ Court are free. Dogs are permitted on the outdoor fairgrounds with a leash, and off-site parking will be available at the Ballston Mall Parking Garage, where there will also be a free shuttle to bring patrons to the fair.
