April showed some interesting trends in the Mid-Atlantic housing market! While closed sales were nearly flat, down just 0.3% year-over-year, there’s still plenty of reason to be optimistic. Central Pennsylvania saw stronger sales, proving that demand is still strong in certain areas.
Mortgage rates were more favorable in April, and even with some economic uncertainty, we’re seeing an increase in active listings—up 29.2% from last year! With more homes on the market and a slight bump in new listings (+0.9%), buyers have more options to choose from, which is great news for those looking to make a move.
Even though the market is a bit cautious in some areas, home prices continue to rise, up 3.7% from last year, just shy of record highs. This is a strong indicator that the market remains healthy and offers great opportunities for sellers to capitalize on demand.
If you’re thinking about buying or selling, now is a great time to jump in. Let’s make your real estate goals a reality—together!
