The Black History Month Literary Weekend is back! The weekend is making its return to the Barnes and Noble in Bowie for the popular Chat and Sign event on Friday at 4:00 PM. This is an all-ages event and several of the authors write children’s books, so there will be plenty to do for the little ones! Attendees will have the chance to get to know up-and-coming authors and purchase their books! The weekend will feature all 12 featured authors, along with special guests: USA Today best-selling author, Naleighna Kai, and Dr. Regina Jennings. Maryland RV Show

The Maryland RV Show will be hosted at the Timonium Fairgrounds, opening at 10:00 AM on Friday. The February show will take place across all buildings, with advance ticket prices being set at $8 for adults and free for children under the age of 12. Grab a 3-day multi-pass for $12 if you don’t want to miss a second of the excitement! Gate prices will be increased by $2 for adult tickets and $3 for the multi-day pass. Free admission on Friday will be provided for active military members, as well as veterans and first responders with an ID. Baltimore and Annapolis Trail parkrun

The Baltimore and Annapolis Trail parkrun is a free, fun, and friendly weekly 5K community event that’s entirely organized by volunteers. Whether you want to walk, jog, or run — or even volunteer/spectate — there’s room for everyone to get involved! The event is held every Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Baltimore and Annapolis Trail along Jumpers Hole Road. Registrations are recommended, especially for your first time participating. Without your scannable barcode, you won’t get a time! There are no speed requirements, so feel free to choose a pace that you enjoy. After the weekly run, parkrun hosts a post-event coffee at the Panera Bread in Pasadena at 8125 Ritchie Highway.
