Patti Labelle: The 80/65 Tour

Get your weekend started early with Patti Labelle as she brings The 80/65 Tour to The Theatre at MGM National Harbor this Thursday at 8:00 PM! Celebrate LaBelle’s 80 years of life and 60+ years in the entertainment industry. The American R&B and soul singer is known for her high vocal belting, as well as her multi-octave voice that can soar from funk to an ear-piercing soprano within the same song! Tickets are still available, starting in the low $100s.

Lunar New Year Celebration

Where? 6800 Oxon Hill Road, National Harbor
When? February 7th

Tanger National Harbor is hosting the inaugural Lunar New Year Celebration this Friday at 5:00 PM in the fireplace courtyard by Nike. The Wong People Association will bring the tradition to life with an exciting lion dance performance throughout the center. In addition to the dance, the event will also feature educational elements intended to honor and celebrate the rich culture and traditions of the Lunar New Year. All TangerClub members will receive red envelopes filled with special store offers! Bring the whole family out for this exciting performance and the opportunity to learn about the culture surrounding the festivities.

The Galentine’s Day Sketch Show

Where? 251 South Ann Street, Baltimore

Baltimore’s all-women sketch troupe is back for their 3rd annual comedy show. This all-new, 90-minute collection of SNL-style comedy is sure to be a hit with your gals. The show is scheduled for 8:00 PM on both Friday and Saturday at the Fells Point Corner Theater. Forevermore Sketch Comedy is presenting a silly sketch show, which is meant to celebrate and support “good-looking women doing funny comedy!” Hit up your group chat and get a few friends together to celebrate Galentine’s Day in style. Tickets are on sale on Eventbrite for $20. Viewer discretion is advised for audience members under the age of 16.

Hot for Chocolate 5K

Where? 10515 Mackall Road, Saint Leonard
When? February 8th

The 3rd annual Hot for Chocolate 5K is scheduled for this Saturday at 8:00 PM. The race will be held at the Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum. The family-friendly event will feature a festive finish line that includes music, food, and of course — hot chocolate! Your entry fee includes a custom long-sleeve race shirt, a custom finisher medal, and the complimentary post-race hot chocolate bar. Through February 7th, fees are priced at $45. On race day, the price increases to $50. Kids’ rates are priced at $25 for ages 4 to 12 and free for kiddos up to the age of 3. Participant check-in begins at 7:00 PM on race morning and the awards ceremony in the pavilion will be held at approximately 8:45 AM.

Maryland Motorcycle Show

The Maryland Motorcycle Show is planned for this Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Hailed as the country’s most complete motorsports show, this is one you won’t want to miss! Hundreds of bikes will be onsite, as well as new motorcycles, ATVs, power sports, and more. If you’re in the market for a new bike, this is your opportunity! Big show discounts will be available and there will be a motorcycle parts swap meet if you’re trying to fix up an old ride. Attendees will stay entertained with music and sounds, as well as the Indoor Flat Track Points Series race by Rowe Racing. $25,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded at the show, including a $300 cash door prize on Saturday.

Anne Arundel County Farmers’ Market

Joy Oladokun is coming to Washington’s Howard Theatre this Friday at 8:00 PM. Oladokun is an acclaimed singer-songwriter who’s been hailed by Rolling Stone as “Nashville’s most low-key musical revolutionary.” Oladokun has music that spans genres from folk, R&B, rock, and pop and she’s been celebrated for her uniquely vulnerable voice. At Friday’s performance, audiences will be blown away as Oladokun documents her life in songs, such as examining her place in the world as the first-generation daughter of Nigerian immigrants and being a proud queer African African. The show will feature an intimate acoustic opening set with Joy.

Washington Auto Show

Don’t miss out on the final weekend of the Washington Auto Show at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center! This is the region’s largest indoor event and one of the country’s top auto shows. Based on the Emmy Award-winning hit show, New York doctors Josh and Melissa go on a backpacking adventure in a last-ditch attempt to save their struggling relationship. Instead, the couple gets lost in the woods and ends up trapped in Schmigadoon — which is a magical town that comes to life. Tattoo Expo 2025

The DC Tattoo Expo is a weekend-long event that’s held at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel in Arlington. From live tattooing, body piercing, and amazing entertainment, you won’t want to miss out on this one-of-a-kind experience. There will be 250 booths hosting the world’s best tattoo artists, piercers, and tattoo merchandise and supplies — as well as vendors, live contests, and more. Tickets will be on sale at the door all three days, priced at $30 per day or $60 for a three-day pass. Ages 12 and under are free with a paying adult. There will also be a military discount of $5 off the three-day pass!

Potomac Overlook — Wonderful Winter Walk

Where? 2845 Marcey Road, Arlington

Take a wonderful winter walk at the Potomac Overlook Regional Park this Sunday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Join naturalist Matt Felperin on this short walk and soak in the stunning natural scenery throughout the forest. Attendees will learn why trees shed their leaves each year and other adaptations that allow both plants and animals to survive the cold winter weather. Visitors will even have the chance to meet a few of the birds of prey that can tough out the cold all season long. The walk is ideal for ages 7 and up and the fee is priced at $8.

Run Your Heart Out 5K/1K

Where? 11895 Grand Commons Avenue, Fairfax
When? February 9th

Run or walk with your sweetheart, bestie, or family this Sunday at the Run Your Heart Out 5K/1K. Join the fun for this 14th annual race at Fairfax Corner. The 5K kicks off at 8:30 AM and the 1K begins at 8:35 AM. All pre-registered participants will receive a commemorative Run Your Heart Out long-sleeve shirt, a unique race bib, a one-of-a-kind medal, post-race snacks, free race day photos, and a digital finisher certificate! The race will be timed by Commonwealth Race Management and with the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Awards will be handed out to the overall male and female finishers in the live event, as well as the top 3 male and female age group finishers in 5-year increments from 14 and under through 80 and over.
