There will also be free outdoor concerts for the public, as well as social dancing every evening for those wanting to take to the dance floors themselves. Moonlight Movies at the Mansion

Bring your blankets, your little ones, and a love for film, and enjoy Moonlight Movies at the Mansion on the second Friday of the month. This weekend, the film being presented is Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Screenings will run approximately between 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM, so arrive early, get cozy, and enjoy this beloved community event. Dog Days: Brave Babes Animal Rescue

On select Fridays, Linganore Winecellars is hosting Dog Days from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. This weekend, join the commotion on the lawn with local animal rescuers helping to find furry four-legged friends a new home. When you make a purchase during these Rescue Nights, 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the featured rescue. Friday will welcome the Brave Babes Animal Rescue, as well as the Cookin’ with Greece food truck from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. While featured rescues are showcased on select dates, the lawn at Linganore is always open to furry friends. Bring Fido along on Friday nights for live tunes, good food, great friends, and of course, plenty of wine!
Summer Family Day at Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park

70th Birthday Celebration for the Enchanted Forest

This weekend, celebrate the 70th Birthday Celebration of the Enchanted Forest. The Forest first opened in 1955 and has been entertaining Maryland families for many generations. This year, Adler Display (the company that created most of the buildings and characters that are part of the Enchanted Forest) will be joining the celebration to unveil a beautiful new permanent exhibit. There will also be a book signing and princesses onsite waiting to greet families. Come on out and visit your favorite attractions this weekend and make lifelong memories with the little ones. This year’s birthday celebration will welcome Little Toot back to the farm for a ribbon-cutting at 11:00 AM on Saturday, so be there or be square!
2nd Annual Big Bloom Festival

The 2nd Annual Big Bloom Festival will be at the Good Hope Neighborhood Recreation Center this Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Strathmore and the Recreation Center are excited to present the festival, which will include live music, food trucks, activities, and even a moon bounce for the little ones! Featured artists at this year’s festival include a Tina Turner tribute with vocalist IO (formerly AYO), as well as The Experience Band & Show. Attendees can also find an array of county resources onsite. RSVP is requested, which will help event organizers notify attendees of any changes.

Tickets to the show are priced at $22 and set times are scheduled for 7:30 PM and 9:45 PM on Friday, 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM on Saturday, and 7:00 PM on Sunday. Showcases typically last around 90 minutes, so grab your friends and grab some tickets here! Hours range from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Saturday, and 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Sunday. Snag four unlimited ride wristbands here or grab a pre-sale deal of 50 ride tickets for $45 (plus a $1.25 ticketing fee) here, which is good through Wednesday. Single tickets will be on sale for $1.75 each, or you can buy a book of 30-50 tickets for $40-$60, with rides taking anywhere between 3 and 5 tickets.
16th Annual Alexandria Sidewalk Sale
